Great Lakes Grain enters grain marketing partnership with Embrun Co-op

CHATHAM ONTARIO September 26, 2019 - Great Lakes Grain is pleased to announce that we have entered into a partnership agreement with Embrun Co-op starting with the 2019 harvest.

Embrun Co-op is located in the heart of eastern Ontario and serves its clients in both official languages. It offers products and services through its eight divisions.It is owned by its members who have chosen to join Great Lakes Grain in order to share the mutual values and benefits of co-operative ownership.

“Embrun Co-op has long wished to partner with a major player in the grain marketing industry with the goal of adding value to the products and services we offer our clients,” says Francis Dionne, chief financial officer for Embrun Co-op.“We believe that Great Lakes Grain is the best partner to have in today's demanding market,” says Patrick Therrien, chief executive officer for Embrun Co-op.

“This new partnership with Embrun Co-op is a tremendous opportunity for Great Lakes Grain to expand its current marketplace and enhance our presence into eastern Ontario,” says Justin Geelen, business development manager for Great Lakes Grain. “We look forward to working closely with Embrun Co-op and their local producers, assisting them in developing grain marketing plans for their individual farming operations.,” added Geelen.

Great Lakes Grain is a grain marketing partnership between AGRIS Co-operative Ltd. and GROWMARK, Inc. (including FS PARTNERS, a division of GROWMARK, Inc.) Great Lakes Grain is one of the largest operators of Ontario country elevators. It represents close to 20 million bushels of storage capacity with total marketing in excess of 40 million bushels. Great Lakes Grain serves farmers out of 25 AGRIS Co-operative and FS PARTNERS branded locations that span from Windsor through to Toronto and north to Georgian Bay.
