Great Lakes Grain adds strong, new talent to its portfolio

The staff at Great Lakes Grain would like to welcome four new employees to its roster. Dave Snowdon, Zone Originator and Laura Scott, In-Branch Grain Originator for Mitchell; Kaitlynn Anderson, In-Branch Grain Customer Originator in Ayr, and Noah Andriessen, Great Lakes Grain Intern.

(Zone Grain Originator - Mitchell)

Dave Snowdon will lead our farm and elevator origination efforts in the Mitchell area. This University of Guelph BComm FAB (Food and Agricultural Business) graduate comes with not only a strong economics base, but also over a decade of experience in grain origination and merchandising.

Dave lives near Bayfield and enjoys traveling (when permitted), biking and hitting the slopes in his spare time.

Laura Scott

(In-Branch Grain Originator - Mitchell)

Laura Scott is a Ridgetown '19 grad with her BAsc (Bachelor of Applied Science- Agribusiness Degree) from Olds, Alberta. She finished her co-op placement with Great Lakes Grain at the end of 2020, and says, "As a graduate, I'm really looking forward to this new chapter in my life helping customers with their grain marketing needs!"

In her spare time, Laura enjoys to help out around the family farm. When not helping out with the family cash crop and livestock (sheep and horses), she likes to horse-back ride. She enjoys hanging out with family and friends, both two and fourlegged.

Kaitlynn Anderson

(In-Branch Grain Customer Originator - Ayr)

Food, Agriculture and Resource Economics at the University of Guelph, she fell in love with the city and decided to call that home. She also realized her passion for ag economics, and looks forward to getting back into it!

This former crop scout, agricultural journalist and head grower has a diverse skill set to complement her passion for ag economics. In her spare time, Kaitlynn can be found writing on her personal blog, reading, baking, exercising or watching Grey’s Anatomy alongside her 16-month oldlab/border collie mix Koda.

Noah Andriessen

(Great Lakes Grain Intern)

Noah Andriessen is a third year Bachelor of Commerce student with a major in Agricultural Business who has joined Great Lakes Grain for a full two semesters of internship. He grew up on a combined dairy/poultry operation, and has a strong passion for agriculture.

In Noah’s spare time on the farm, he can be found milking cows, chasing chickens, splitting wood or hanging with his dog Jasper. He has great respect for the FS System, and is excited to be working with all members of the grain marketing team from FS PARTNERS, AGRIS Co-op, Embrun Co-op and Great Lakes Grain.

Dave, Laura and Kaitlynn will be working at their respective FS PARTNERS branches, while Noah will work with all of the Great Lakes Grain partnerships.
