We are pleased to welcome Laura Scott to the Great Lakes Grain team.

Laura is a recent graduate from Old’s College in Alberta, and also the University of Guelph. 

Laura will be undertaking a couple of different projects, including ISCC certification, VOM and scale house preparation and also helping with the Crop Assessment tour.  

She will be working from her home in Lucan during the COVID-19 crisis. Hopefully, as restrictions ease in the future, we will get to meet her face to face.

Laura grew up on a cash crop and livestock (beef, sheep and horses) farm just outside of Lucan Ontario, with her parents and younger brother. 

Laura attended the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus from 2017 to 2019 and received her Agriculture Diploma. She is currently finishing up her education at Olds College with her Bachelor of Applied Science Agribusiness Degree by completing her 8-month co-op placement here with Great Lakes Grain and AGRIS Co-operative. 

In her spare time, Laura likes to spend time with her family, friends and animals. 

Laura has several pets, including two dogs (Australian Shepherd and Red Retriever) and two quarter horses. She also enjoys 4-H and horseback riding.

Laura has a strong passion for the agriculture industry and looks forward to this next chapter in her life working with Great Lakes Grain and AGRIS Co-op.
