Farm Direct Program
Our Farm Direct (FD) is available to customers who prefer to save delivery costs but prefer to have us look after the logistics saving you valuable time.
Bids are based on truck load quantities loaded at the seller’s farm or alternate origin provided by the seller and acceptable by Great Lakes Grain (GLG).
All grain will be delivered direct to a processor or terminal.
To qualify for FD bids customer commit to and acknowledge the following:
- Sales are for the period selected and multiple loads are spread throughout the period.
- Seller can load trucks in one hour or less. Excess time to load may result in additional charges which will be charged to the seller.
- Seller will provide GLG an assessment of quality in order for GLG to determine an appropriate destination.
- Grain must meet processor or terminal minimums to qualify for FD.
- Charges for rejected and returned or alternate delivery points are for the seller’s account.
- Delivery schedule is provided by GLG when received from the processor or terminal.
o It is GLG’s discretion to choose the delivery destination.
o GLG may call on grain ahead of delivery and it is customers option
to accept
o Customer may request changes to delivery and it is GLG’s option to accept or reject.
- The seller will be charged for all weighing and inspection fees assessed by the terminal or processor to which the grain is delivered. (Discount Schedules are available at www.greatlakekesgrain.com and are subject to change)
- Destination grading and discount scales apply to direct deliveries.
- Delivery arrangements and delivery charges are the seller’s responsibility.
- Direct delivery tickets must be provided each day to GLG by fax copy or email scanned copy to initiate payment.
- Grain must be delivered for the entire amount of the contract to the processor stated on the contract.
